The Factory Tour
The Harley-Davidson Factory Tour was a wonderful experience. We found it very interesting to see in person, the manufacturing process of making extraordinary motorcycles.

The Milwaukee Art Museum
The Milwaukee Art Museum has many one-of-a-kind contemporary art exhibits and also has several unique areas for personal photography. It is considered to be a photo hotspot and is rented for wedding photo shoots. Eric took this picture of me standing in the iconic sculptural area called The Quadracci Pavillion which has an expansive view of Lake Michigan.

Art Museum Highlights
The Milwaukee Art Museum – In this picture, Eric and I are standing outside The Quadracci Pavillion. There are many architectural highlights inside The Quadracci Pavillion as well as outside. Before visiting the museum, plan what highlights you’d like to see ahead of time. Also keep in mind that a good time to visit the museum is on a Thursday, between 3:00pm – 5:00pm.

HD Museum Milwaukee, Wisconsin
The Harley-Davidson Museum is definitely worth visiting. The museum showcases the company’s rich history and motorcycles through a variety of interactive exhibits. There’s a lot to take in… so much on display. I recommend spending a half a day there and revisit again the next day if time allows.

Things To Do In Milwaukee, Wisconsin for Motorcycle Riders

Harley-Davidson Museum Shop
One of the things I enjoy about owning a Harley-Davidson motorcycle is the opportunity it presents to meet people from different cultures and backgrounds. Like this couple we met from Japan as we waited in line to enter the H-D Museum Shop. It’s located across the street from the main entrance of the museum. There you will find Harley-Davidson clothing and tourist souvenirs at various price points.

House of Harley-Davidson
The House of Harley-Davidson Dealership has a good selection of motorcycles, HD clothing and motorcycle accessories. What makes this dealership worth visiting is the experience of climbing into this “Big Azz Chair”. There isn’t a step available to assist in the climb… and it took us a lot of effort to get in the chair. After we accomplished the task we realized how out of shape we are. Who knew something so simple could be so much fun.

Suburban Motors Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Eric and I had a very memorable experience visiting Suburban Motors Harley-Davidson Dealership. This dealership was recommended to us by locals we met upon arrival to the city. We received top notched customer service, great dining recommendations from Todd Berlin (General Manager) and an unexpected gift from Scott Houpt (Owner).

Suburban Motors Harley-Davidson Dealership
We had the pleasure of meeting Scott P. Houpt, the owner of Suburban Motors Harley Davidson Dealership. Scott was very gracious to us after we expressed to him our appreciation of the interaction we had with his staff. Scott valued our feedback and gave Eric and I passes to ride in the Harley-Davidson Parade.

Miller Park
Eric and I in line at Miller Park waiting to ride in the Harley-Davidson Parade. We had an awesome ride! Thanks to Scott P. Houpt at Suburban Motors Harley Davidson Dealership for your generosity. We will forever remember our experience of meeting you and your staff and shopping at the dealership.

Uke’s Harley-Davidson Dealership
Uke’s Harley-Davidson has a display case like no other. Eric’s description of it… “it’s a display case of hot wheels sized Harley-Davidson’s for a giant.” Eric’s description pretty much sums it up. There’s also a 3,000 sq. ft. museum on the second floor with memorabilia spanning from 1930-present.

Atlas BBQ
Atlas BBQ is rated as one of the top 10 best BBQ joints in Wisconsin. We immensely enjoyed their Baby Back Ribs and Cuban Q’wich. We also bought a very funny souvenir t-shirt at Atlas BBQ. Written on the t-shirt was the following: “I like big butts and I cannot lie”

Yummy Bones BBQ
Yummy Bones BBQ is a casual restaurant that serves moderately priced barbecue and southern style sides. Pitmaster, Robert Meredith does a wonderful job cooking low and slow real smoked barbecue.

RIP Scott P. Houpt
Scott P. Houpt passed away at the age of 49 from complications of diabetes and kidney disease. The reputation of the dealership he owned is what led us to meet Scott. We are certain that Scott will be truly missed by all who knew him. He was a sincere, kind, and generous soul. Our heart felt condolences to the family and the Suburban Motors Harley-Davidson Team.
